The Mission Viejo Library now offers adaptive equipment to help the visually impaired, thanks to $5,000 in funding from a California State Library grant. The federal Library Services and Technology Act grant funding was used to buy a computer workstation with a large-print keyboard, an oversize monitor, a ZoomText screen magnifier and special reader software. The Friends of the Mission Viejo Library purchased $12,908 in new books, DVDs and children’s programs for the library, with funds from March book sales and a donation to the Mission Viejo Library bookstore.
