The public is invited to a free senior transportation workshop October 19 designed to inform older adults of the invaluable transit resources available to them.
The Senior Transportation Resources Workshop is at 2 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
Transportation experts from OCTA Access, Agewell Senior Services, Dayle McIntosh Disables Services Center, Jewish Federation and Family Services of Orange County, Orange County Taxi Cab Administration Program (OCTAP) and the City’s Dial-a-Taxi will be on hand to discuss the latest guidelines for major South County transportation programs. The workshop will cover services for people who are physically and cognitively disabled as well as information about subsidized taxi services and support programs that benefit seniors’ specific needs.
Information fact sheets, transit guides and resource lists will be distributed, and refreshments will be served.
