The Mission Viejo High School marching band is asking residents to take part in the band’s shoe drive to benefit people in third-world countries.
To participate, simply clean out your closets and garages and collect unwanted shoes from neighbors, friends and family and bag them paired together by laces or rubber bands. You can drop off the shoes at 7 p.m. on Monday nights to the band’s practice at 25025 Chrisanta Drive or contact Kim Magnuson at 949-412-8476 to coordinate delivery. All shoes will be cleaned, paired and recycled to third-world countries.
