In an effort to raise awareness of breast cancer research, the Tennis Pavilion at the Marguerite Recreation Center is using Wilson “Pink Hope Ribbon” tennis balls. The effort supports October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The pink Wilson all-court balls have been placed in center’s front display cabinet and are available for $3 a can. The Tennis Pavilion’s ball machine will also shoot out the pink balls in support of the cause.
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) is a collaboration of national public service organizations, professional medical associations, and government agencies working together to promote breast cancer awareness, share information on the disease, and provide greater access to services.
