The next time you drop by the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center be sure to check out the work of two talented artists on display.
Bill Knauer is showcasing his “Memories of Life in the U.S. & Europe Translated Into Original impressionist Paintings” collection inspired by photographing life throughout the U.S., Spain, France, Switzerland, Greece, England, Italy, Russia, and Ireland. His acrylic impressionist paintings interpret his photos.
Knauer’s goal is to share the antiquity and beauty of U.S. & European cities, villages and country sides through impressionist paintings.
Maribeth J. McFaul is recognized for her vivid watercolors as well as her award-winning street paintings at Mission Viejo’s Arts Alive. She is also the art teacher at Newhart Middle School.
“My unique style of painting on Yupo takes advantage of the fluidity of watercolor on a smooth non-absorbent surface in order to create minor abstractions within major more realistic images,” she said of her “Walking on Water” collection.
The work of Knauer and McFaul will be on display at the community center, 24932 Veterans Way, through November 7.
