An impressive display of vivid photographs from a local artist who has worked in film and television is now showcased along Mission Viejo’s Parkway Gallery.
The “eye of the photographer” images, which were selected by the City’s Cultural Arts Committee, are part of a special art exhibit within ART pilasters in the median islands along Crown Valley Parkway. The City in 2009 unveiled Parkway Gallery, Orange County’s first art gallery enjoyable by car. The art work is rotated throughout the year.
The work is by Bruce Benedict, a resident and talented photographer whose career has included work as director of photography or camera operator on a variety of feature films, TV show and commercials including “Airborne”; “NUMB3RS”; “Johnny Tsunami”; Motocrossed”; and several others.
He’s worked with ski and snowboarding filmmaker Greg Stump; was a cameraman for two seasons of MTV sports; and was the sole photographer for Driving.com. Recently, he has worked with Volvo, Road & Track Magazine; Lamborghini and others.
The photos displayed along Crown Valley represent people, places and things Benedict has encountered throughout his distinguished career.
