With an array of farmers such as Buma Farms, Gaytan Family Farm, Farmer Shaun, John Lee Farm, Mt. Mariah Farm, and Mena Organic Farms, Mission Viejo Farmers Market patrons can choose from an array of fresh, tasty and even unique treats.
For example, Farmer Shaun carries a great selection of fruits including succulent plums, pluots, peaches and pears. Over at the John Lee Farm, fruits and vegetables thrive as do Asian pears. If you want organic veggies, try Buma Farms and the Gaytan Family Farm, and for some of the juiciest peaches and nectarines around along with fresh Gala apples, head over to Mt. Maria Farm. Each farmer is armed with useful information to help you pick the best fruits and vegetables.
This Friday’s market will also feature singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Phil Vandermost entertaining patrons of all ages. This talented performer has a lyrical approach to songwriting, engaging tunes and a gentle tenor often reminiscent of early Paul Simon or perhaps Chris Martin.
The Mission Viejo Farmers Market is each Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Civic Center courtyard at 200 Civic Center. For more information, visit cityofmissionviejo.org/farmersmarket.
