Michael Damyen knows a thing or two about giving back to his community. He braved the heat this past weekend for a project to beautify a local park.
Armed with about 50 volunteers, Michael, a member of Boy Scout Troop #1602, planted about 950 plants along Applegate Park at the intersection of Olympiad and Applegate.
This special project puts him in line for the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scout program of the Boy Scouts of America.
The City appreciates the work of this dedicated young man and his volunteers and invites other scouts to conduct similar projects. For information, call 949-470-3085.
