The City’s fall Leisure Time publication is now available online, offering detailed information about upcoming special events and exciting programs and classes that span the next few months.
The publication, available at www.cityofmissionviejo.org, features information on an array of activities and events that benefit the community such as the Tip-a-Cop on Sept. 12, which benefits the Special Olympics and the eco-friendly Inner Coastal Clean Up Day around Oso Creek on Sept. 15. Inside the pages of this detailed City guide, folks will also find information about our 4th annual Readers’ Festival, which this year takes place on Sunday, Oct. 14 boasting a host of celebrity and bestselling authors like one-handed baseball pitcher Jim Abbott and O.J. Simpson trial prosecutor Marcia Clark. On Oct. 20, thousands will rally for a drug-free community in the 24th annual Walk Against Drugs event that’s followed by the Pat Bates Disaster Preparedness Expo. A week later, kids of all ages will enjoy “Hometown Halloween” that includes “ghouly” games; creepy crafts; “Whacky Witchin’ Kitchen”; trick-or-treat stations; a children’s costume parade; and more.
The City’s publication also features information about community excursions, fitness and sports programs, teen classes and programs for the young and young at heart.
