Someone once said that “obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off your goals.” Ryan Smith has never lost sight of his goal to become an Eagle Scout. On Saturday, with about 25 volunteers in tow, Ryan installed about 100 feet of lodge pole fencing on Via Linda.
The project puts Ryan of Boy Scout Troop 760 in line to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scout program of the Boy Scouts of America.
The fencing was installed to preserve the landscaped slopes by keeping pedestrian traffic on the sidewalks and stop folks from walking up and down the slopes.
The City appreciates the work of this dedicated young man and invites other scouts to conduct similar projects. For information, call 949-470-3085.
