Residents are invited to join along with thousands of communities nationwide on Tuesday, August 7 for the 29th Annual National Night Out crime and drug prevention event. In celebration of this safe City, Mission Viejo Police Services has teamed up with Target to host an interactive community safety fair from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 25601 Jeronimo Road.
While enjoying free hot dogs, chips and popcorn, visitors of all ages will be treated to an interactive, information-filled safety fair. An array of booths will offer residents timely and important safety information – including home, child, teen, senior, personal and animal safety. The event will also feature information about emergency preparedness and drug and alcohol abuse prevention programs.
Guest DJ, “The Mad Platter,” will keep things hopping with great music and a few friendly competitions. Gift cards from Target will be awarded onsite to competition winners. Folks will also enjoy free face painting, crafts and photo opportunities with Sheriff’s Department staff, including motor deputies, Mission Viejo’s K9 unit, and for the first time, a member of the Sheriff’s mounted patrol!
“Please join us and strengthen neighborhood spirit while celebrating our safe community,” said Crime Prevention Specialist Paula Monical.
