The City’s Public Services Department will begin removing a 4-foot wide stretch of the sidewalk along the south side of Alicia Parkway from Trabuco Road west for roughly 900 feet as part of a landscape improvement project.
The sidewalk has shifted over the years and some of the trees there are gone. Removing this section of sidewalk will create a landscape planter along the curb that will serve as a landscape barrier for pedestrians walking along Alicia Parkway. It will also visually lessen the appearance of the block wall. The planter will be landscaped with a hedge and new trees and will include drip irrigation. The project will be completed sometime in August.
