When you drop by the Mission Viejo Farmers Market on Friday be sure to take a taste of the Tasting Spoon.
The gourmet food truck of Chef Joe Youkhan features mouth-watering Italian comfort food. With vast experience in the fine dining scene including positions at Saratoga Grill, the Ritz-Carlton and Chat Noir, Joe has been exposed to a variety of cultures and has learned classic French techniques and worked with contemporary American menus. His Tasting Spoon menu includes tasty bites like the “Creamy Mac ‘N’ Cheese Nuggets” and specialty individual pizzas such as the “Bianca,” with provolone, mozzarella, brie, Manchego, white truffle oil and arugula. You’ll also find pastas, Parmigiano Sweet Potato fries and even caviar on occasion. That’s right. It’s served with house-cured sockeye salmon, crisp Yukon gold potatoes and Creme Fraiche.
Along with fresh produce and delectable fare, Friday’s market will feature live entertainment by the Capistrano Community Mariachi Program. These talented performers are part of a great program that strives to enhance the quality of life by engaging our diverse community in high-quality music education.
The Mission Viejo Farmers Market takes place each Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Civic Center parking lot, 200 Civic Center.
