Roughly 200 people attended the Mission Viejo Community Health Fair on July 13. The event, which is part of a City effort to promote Mission Viejo’s role as a Healthy Eating, Active Living (HEAL) city, attracted folks of all ages who took advantage of services and information designed to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Some had their blood glucose checked for diabetes. Others enjoyed free massages from Massage Heights, fitness demonstrations from Fitness Evolution and health food and drink samples from Trader Joe’s and Boresha. Kids had fun at the Kid’s Factory Goal Zone, and many embraced the vast information available from various health and wellness institutions. The event also included a screening of HBO’s “Weight of the Nation” film, which will be shown again at 6 p.m. on Oct. 3 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.
The City plans to host another Community Health Fair in the future. Stay tuned to www.missionviejolife.org for details.
