What happens when you blend 24 enthusiastic junior wheelchair tennis players from six countries with a dozen equally passionate coaches for a week in Mission Viejo? You end up with the only Junior Wheelchair Tennis Camp of its kind on the South and North American continents.
For the past six summers, the USTA/ITF Cruyff Foundation Junior Wheelchair Camp Americas has brought together kids and coaches from across the United States, Canada, Central and South America to the Felipe Tennis Center for an amazing week of inspiring moments, hard work and lots of laughs. The goal of this unique camp is to offer young athletes professional sports training and the opportunity to develop friendships with kids from near and far along with many lifelong memories.
The campers, ages 12-18, arrived to Mission Viejo on Sunday, July 8 and begin their week of instruction, match play, and fun the following day. Midweek was a break in the action with a trip to Sea World. That was followed by match play on Thursday and an awards banquet at the end of the day.
Next year, the camp will move to the Tennis Pavilion at the Marguerite Recreation Center to accommodate more campers. For more information, call 949-859-4348.

what a great camp for children and teens who are wheelchair bound! Love how they include and make things better for these kids!
