Roughly $3,650 was raised during a car wash July 14 to benefit the Headquarters Battalion of the 1st Marine Division.
Hosted by the City’s Marines & Sailors Adoption Committee, the car wash attracted more than 100 cars and residents who were only too eager to support the cause. They chatted with Marines who washed their cars and enjoyed pancakes, bacon and hot dogs served up by the Mission Viejo Activities Committee.
The proceeds from the daylong event at the Mission Viejo Civic Center will help support programs and services for Mission Viejo’s adopted troops. For more information, call 949-470-3061.
