The Mission Viejo Pony 8 and under team will represent the City out of 10,000 kids across pony baseball in the Pony World series in San Jose, California this week.
Mission Viejo Pony 8 U All-stars won the Southern California Super Regional Championship on July 15 and is only the second Mission Viejo team to head to a World Series since 1997. The Pony World Series takes place July 19-22.
Mission Viejo beat all the top teams from Southern California and will now face the division winners from Hawaii, Northern California, Arizona and 13 other Western United States.
The City of Mission Viejo congratulates this team of dedicated young players who have made this City proud!



Game 1 of the World Series is over and Mission Viejo won 11-0 in 4 innings. The starting pitcher, Connor Dietsch pitched 2 strong innings striking out 5 batters. His twin brother Cole hit a solo home run in the second inning and the bats for Mission Viejo were on.
The next game for these boys is today, Friday July 20th at 5:00 p.m., against a local team from Blossom Valley.
