In an effort to help beautify the area, the City will make median island landscape improvements along Marguerite Parkway. The project, which begins next week, is part of an ongoing effort to remove and replace old and dilapidated plant material with drought tolerant and maintenance-friendly ground covers, shrubs and trees.
Irrigations systems will be renovated to state-of-the-art “inline drip irrigation” that promotes water conservation, healthy plant growth and eliminates overspray onto nearby pavement surfaces.
This phase of landscape improvements – Mesilla to Venado – will complete the entire section of medians along Marguerite Parkway between Estanciero to Center Drive south of Crown Valley Parkway. The project is being substantially funded by a grant from a county-wide water quality program.
Construction will continue through mid November. Periodic traffic lane closures will take place but at least one lane of traffic along Marguerite Parkway will be open at all times. For more information, contact Public Services at 949-470-3085.
