Community members are invited to learn about the wonderful things a special group of people are doing and how to get involved at the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library’s annual meeting on Thursday, July 19.
The meeting is from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the City Hall Saddleback Room just across from the library at 200 Civic Center.
The Friends of the Mission Viejo Library supports the library through donations to buy new materials, operates the Friends Bookstore, Amazon book sales and promotes public awareness about the library and its many services. During the meeting, the non-profit’s fundraising activities will be discussed, and folks will learn how they can also be a friend to the library. They will also see a live demonstration of the library’s free downloadable ebooks, one of the Friends’ initiatives, and will learn about different volunteer opportunities at the Mission Viejo Library.
Refreshments will be served at this free event. After the meeting, new officers will be elected to the Friends’ board of directors. For more information, call 949-309-7599.
