Youth from North, Central, and South America will take part in the City’s 6th annual USTA/ITF Cruyff Foundation Junior Wheelchair Camp Americas July 9-13 at the Felipe Tennis Center. The camp is the only one of its kind on the South and North American continents.
Hosted by the United States Tennis Association and the International Tennis Federation in partnership with the City, the Junior Wheelchair Tennis Camp is designed to teach and train advanced to beginner wheelchair-bound juniors on the sport of tennis. This year, 25 players from seven countries – including the US – will take part in this unique wheelchair camp led by current and former world-ranked wheelchair professionals, Paralympics coaches/athletes and coaches from the United States Tennis Association.
The camp’s goal is to offer young athletes professional sports training and the chance to develop friendships with kids both near and far as well as lifelong memories.
The public is invited to cheer these wonderful athletes on at the Felipe Tennis Center (27161 Nogal) at the following times:
Monday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday: 10 – noon
