Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Maserati could be coming to Mission Viejo. The Van Tuyl Group recently acquired a 2-acre property at 28362 Marguerite Parkway and is in talks with these brands for the site. The Van Tuyl Group owns 70 auto dealerships including South County Lexus at Mission Viejo, South County Motorcars and South County Collision. Development plans call for demolishing the nearly 40-year-old two-story building, expanding the Lexus dealership and adding three or four more vehicle brands.
South County Lexus had obtained City approval for a multi-million development that includes expanding the existing dealership on the gated property to the south; adding service bays; more onsite parking; demolishing most of the existing AT&T equipment facility; and realigning the southern entrance with the traffic signal at Mission Viejo Town Center. When completed, the project will bring 40 new jobs to the City.
In other business news in Mission Viejo, Five Guys Burgers & Fries is expected to open at the end of the month at 24391 Alicia Parkway (corner at Charlinda) in the Alicia Towne Plaza. The first Five Guys Burgers & Fries opened in 1986 and the business has grown to more than 1,000 locations in 47 states and Canada. Five Guys Burgers & Fries is best known for their burgers and fries, but the menu also features hot dogs and grilled sandwiches with toppings.
buybuy BABY, Inc. is renovating the 36,039-square foot building at 25322 El Paseo in the Mission Viejo Freeway Center. buybuy BABY sells infant and children’s furniture, car seats, strollers, clothing, toys and other baby essentials. Construction should be completed late fall. Store hours are 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. This will be the fourth buybuy BABY location in Southern California.
Devilicious Donuts is planning to open the later this month at 28601 Marguerite Parkway. The 1,383-square foot donut shop will feature a wide variety of donuts, desserts and “Levaza” Italian coffee. The menu includes traditional favorites and unique items like donuts stuffed with ice cream, a hamburger on a glazed donut, and a bacon/hot dog/donut combo.

Victoria’s Secret remains open during construction to renovate the existing 7,000-square-foot store at The Shops at Mission Viejo. Construction should be finished by fall.
Pink, a line of active wear by Victoria’s Secret, is coming to The Shops at Mission Viejo later this summer. The 3,505-square-foot store will be housed on the mall’s upper level between Forever 21 and the existing Victoria’s Secret. Pink will bring 10 new jobs to Mission Viejo.
