The public is invited to celebrate 35 years of “joyful learning” on Tuesday, June 19 at Barcelona Hills Elementary, which closes this month.
Students and parents are invited to the school at 10 a.m. for special presentations by K-5 classes and more. Later in the day, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., past and present students, teachers, staff and families are invited to reminisce and enjoy live music, a DJ, line dancing, games and tons of fun. Food trucks, Kettle corn and ice cream will be available for purchase. There will be a cake walk and an open microphone for folks to share stories of Barcelona Hills, which opened in 1977.
