If you want to embrace the social, artistic, and cultural dynamism of the 1920s, then don’t miss the Roaring Twenties Twilight Dinner on Sunday, April 22.
The fun-filled event kicks off at 4 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center and will feature live entertainment, dancing, dinner and so much more.
Guests will be whisked back to a time of speakeasy gangsters like Al Capone and Bugsy Siegel, silent movies, prohibition and bathtub gin, “The Great Gatsby,” long pearl necklaces, headbands, cloche hats and all that jazz. Professional entertainers C.J. and Katie will perform music and dance tunes from the ’20s and engage folks in sing-a-longs and hitting the dance floor. The event will include a Jitterbug dance demonstration and a delectable 3-course Italian dinner of Caesar salad, chicken fettuccini with white sauce, Italian vegetables, garlic bread and spumoni and cookies.
Those who come sporting a costume from the era will compete for a prize.
A $15 advanced purchase ticket is required to enjoy this one-of-a-kind bash. Register online at econnect.cityofmissionviejo.org by referencing course #2708 or call 949-470-3062.
