The Shoot Better Digital Photos Workshop is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the potential of your digital camera and learn how to use your camera’s settings to turn your snapshots into high-quality photographs. In the April 17 Mediterranean Cuisine Cooking class, you will discover the secret of traditional Mediterranean cuisine and will learn how to prepare the featured dish, Tabouleh. Complimentary appetizers and baklava will be served. The course, which caters to adults, is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center. Children will embrace drawing and a love of art in the Cartoon Class facilitated by Young Rembrandts. The class is on Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 19 through May 17 at the community center. Young Rembrandts improves core skills through the fun of cartooning, and the lessons teach children how to:
• Create original cartoon characters
• Draw action, movement and sounds
• Draw expressions to convey moods
• Develop a series of drawings that tell a joke
