The Rose Society of Saddleback Mountain will host a consulting rosarian through the American Rose Society who will offer up helpful tips on Thursday.
The Rose Society maintains the pristine Mission Viejo Civic Center Rose Garden near the library. The members meet monthly to care and nurture the roses in the City garden.
On February 9, Stu Span will discuss organic gardening and an array of California growing tips that can produce large healthy roses while being environmentally friendly. Stu started his career after earning a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from the University of Maryland. He has written several books a numerous articles.
The Rose Society meets at 7 p.m. at the Rancho Santa Margarita Water District Offices located at 26111 Antonio Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita. For more information about this meeting or about helping the group maintain the Civic Center Rose Garden, call Dawn Saunders at 949-581-8548.
