The City’s Marines and Sailors Adoption Committee is seeking donated baby items for expecting Marine and Sailor families with the City’s adopted Headquarters Battalion of the First Marine Division.
Generous community donations of diapers, blankets, shampoo, lotion, oil, wipes, new or gently used clothing, powder, body wash, bubble bath, towels, washcloths and diaper rash cream will be distributed to families during a memorable baby shower the committee is planning. Last year, more than 50 moms (or expectant moms) received beautiful baby baskets.
Donations should be dropped off by Friday, January 20 to specially marked drop-off boxes at the Mission Viejo Library; Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center; and the Montanoso and Sierra Recreation Centers. Facility addresses are available at www.cityofmissioviejo.org.
In other Marine news, the City’s Marines and Sailors Adoption Committee is grateful to the Kiwanis Club of Mission Viejo for donating 600 boxes of See’s Candy to members of the Headquarters Battalion of the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton. About 125 boxes were shipped oversees to Afghanistan, with the remainder going to our troops stationed at Camp Pendleton.

Along with donations are you accepting of volunteer help. If so, I would be interested in helping.
Thank you,
Denise Watts

Hi~
Our girl scout troop (troop 1291/4th graders) hand made blankets to donate, and some of the moms were asking if the girls could attend the shower. Thank you, we would appreciate a reply.
