  1. I’d rather see this money used to erect a fence around the parimeter of Napoli Park to prevent kids and adults climbing the slopes to the park killing the ground cover and plants. The mud and debris flow over the retainer wall into the parking lot below. Also kids are throwing pine cones at the complex and cars below the park. I’m hoping a fence would prevent this from happening.

  2. Concur, or build stairs up the hillside.

  3. How about the city fixingTHEiR slopes for a started. Start with Alicia !

  4. I’m not finding detailed information on the city website.

Is this money available for low/no interest loans for painting/roofing/landscaping? I have an immediate need for that – as do my neighbors.

    Thanks.

  5. I suggest that the City require the contractor to re-pave the stretch of Olympiad between Jeronimo and Alicia – this is one of the worst paving jobs I have seen anywhere and does not reflect well on our wonderful city!

  6. since the work is completed on an unpermitted project, permitting it or not will not add any value. I would rather see some of the money being spent on paving my street, Via Viento, off Oso parkway, has anyone from the city drove on that street lately, and maybe add couple of speed bumps to slow down fast drivers before someone gets hurts.

    Thanks

  7. IMPROVE DON’T MOVE a good idea. We love MV. Have resided here since 1969 where our children grew up using our rec centers. I would still like to see more improvements of our “village” shopping centers at Marguerite and La Paz. Ralph’s has done a wonderful job. The rest still a little tacky. Keep up the good work.

  8. All excellent comments. I hope the City is reading these and will do something about the street and slopes. The Shopping Centers (strip malls) are owned by Commercial R/E and those owners are responsible for face lifts and making improvements. We still fences around the community parks for the safety of everyone that enjoys them.
