It was a block party that residents on Via Amistoso will probably never forget.
The street won the “Clark Griswold” award in the 39th annual Holiday Home Lighting Contest by the Mission Viejo Activities Committee. The contest, which ended on December 2, encouraged residents to brighten their neighborhood and share the holiday spirit with others.
On Dec. 18, Mission Viejo Activities Committee members hosted the special reception for the cul-de-sac, which attracted about 50 people and included appetizers, hot chocolate, apple cider and tons of holiday cheer. Residents also received a special photo collage of their street’s festive decorations.
