Cultural arts are alive in Mission Viejo and thrive through events, classes and programs such as two exciting classes available in the New Year. Registration is now available for the “Stage Rehearsal and Performance” and “Glass Jewelry Making” classes.
Led by producer, director and actor Robert Conrad, the Stage Rehearsal and Performance class will teach students the craft of acting. They will read and discuss various stage plays, learn how to prepare to play a role and perform on the Mission Viejo television set.
The class, which is open to adults 18 years and older, is from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursdays and takes place in the City Council Chamber in two sessions from January 12 through February 2 and from February 9 through March 1.
Cost is $48 per session. City Hall is located at 200 Civic Center.
The fun-filled Glass Jewelry Making Class is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 21 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way. Students will create six beautiful fused glass items that can be used as decorative pieces, gifts and more. The class is open to ages 16 and over, and no previous experience is necessary. Cost is $60 plus a $15 materials fee payable to the instructor.
