If you are looking for a unique holiday gift, listen up: The City is offering delectable, fun-filled classes that kick off in the New Year.
Registration is available for the following classes that cater to kids, teens and adults.
Healthy Italian Dinners
This course is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 20 and will teach adults how to cook salt-free healthy Italian dinners with fresh ingredients from your local market. Complimentary appetizers will be served. Cost is $30 for this course #2608.
Mediterranean Cuisine Cooking
In this class on Tuesday, January 24, adults will discover the secret of Mediterranean cuisine. During the two-hour class, which begins at 6 p.m., students will learn how to prepare Tabouleh, the featured dish. Complimentary appetizers and Baklava will be served. Cost is $30 for this course #2565.
Kids and teens will learn sewing basics, fabrics selection, how to follow a pattern and complete amazing projects in this class, which will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays January 11 through February 8.
The class is open to ages 8 and older. All fabric, notions and sewing machines will be supplied.

Makeup 101: Winter Formal
with Debra Johnson
If you’ve ever wanted to perfect your makeup, now’s your chance: From 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on January 14, instructor Debra Johnson will show you how to create any look – from natural to winter formal diva.
Students of all ages will learn proper placement, technique and colors that best suit them.
