Tickets are available for a special program on Thursday, January 26 that will feature talented singers from the Orange County High School of the Arts performing songs from a preeminent figure who elevated American music into a national treasure.
The Night of Gershwin Songs, presented by the Mission Viejo Library and Cultural Services Department in conjunction with the Timeless Melodies Foundation, is at 7 p.m. in the Mission Viejo Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 Civic Center.
Singers from the Orange County High School of the Arts will bring the music of George Gershwin to life in a dazzling performance that is sure to delight people of all ages. Gershwin’s compositions spanned both popular and classical genres, and his most popular melodies are widely known. The Timeless Melodies program will feature music historian Larry Maurer.
