The public is invited to enjoy “Pollyanna” on Sunday, November 20 at City Hall as part of a free movie series sponsored by the City’s Community of Character Committee. The G-rated film begins at 2:00 pm and highlights “thankfulness,” Mission Viejo’s character quality for the month of November.
This beloved classic, starring Haley Mills and Jane Wyman, tells the story of a spirited orphan whose positive attitude brightens the life of everyone she meets. Pollyanna’s “Glad Game” demonstrates how to be grateful for even the smallest things and is a perfect way to welcome Thanksgiving!
Character educators Elaine Portnoy and Bob Hayes will lead a brief discussion following the film which will be shown on a theater-size screen with theater-style seating and surround-sound at 200 Civic Center, just across from the Mission Viejo Library.
