The opening of two new businesses in Mission Viejo this month attracted large crowds eager to shop at a new mega retail store and sample fine Italian cuisine.
The grand opening of the 94,000-square-foot Forever 21 store at The Shops at Mission Viejo on Sept. 3 attracted more than 1,000 people who formed a line that snaked around the store, which is housed in the former Saks Fifth Avenue space. The first 400 people in line received gift cards. The former, smaller Forever 21 space at the mall is under construction to make way for The Lamb & Flag store.
Nearly 300 people attended the Sept. 25 ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of the Delizie Ristorante & Bar that opened at 25380 Marguerite Parkway. The Mission Viejo Chamber of Commerce hosted the event that included presentations and samples of fine cuisine.
Along with those businesses, the Lego Store at The Shops at Mission Viejo is also expected to attract a big crowd when it opens early October. The public is invited to help a “Lego Master Builder” construct an 8-foot Lego Spongebob Squarepants during the store’s three-day grand opening celebration weekend from Friday, October 7 through Sunday October 9.

Hello,
My name is Donna Zamora, owner of the “Nothing Bundt Cake” bakery in Mission Viejo. I was reading that a new Lego store is opening in The Shops at Mission Viejo. I was wondering if I could provide some FREE sample trays of our bundt cakes for your Grand Opening. It would be completely free to you and would help me promote my bakery. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in.
Best Regards,
Donna Zamora
