Prolific singer/songwriter Bobby Caldwell will perform on the “Breakfast with Gary and Kelly” radio for TV broadcast (livecast) on Sept. 17.

Saddleback College radio station KSBR 88.5FM and the City of Mission Viejo are hosting the Saturday morning radio show that will broadcast live starting at 9 a.m. from the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

A studio audience will be welcomed in for the 10 a.m. to noon portion of the show, with the final hour being videotaped for later broadcast on the City’s MVTV Channel 30. The program will also take place during the station’s fall membership drive that will feature a “garage sale” with hundreds of CDs available for as little as 50 cents and a $5 pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon. Everyone is invited to the garage sale and pancake breakfast but seating is limited for the free broadcast and reservations should be made at www.KSBR.org.

The show will focus on the Caldwell’s vast repertoire of rousing R&B, intimate smooth jazz and big band songs. His timeless classic, “What You Won’t Do For Love” has been recorded and sampled by more than 100 artists. His songs and albums have been released in the USA, Japan and throughout the globe and have been enjoyed by millions of fans.

Caldwell follows a string of impressive guests who’ve appeared on “Breakfast with Gary & Kelly” at the City’s community center including Debbie Reynolds, Peter White and Diane Schuur.

For more information about how to become part of the audience for Saturday’s show, tune to 88.5 KSBR or visit www.KSBR.org.
