The public is invited to donate blood in the City’s blood drive on Friday, Sept. 9 in honor of those who were lost on 9/11.
The blood drive, organized by Council Member Trish Kelley, is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in City Hall’s Saddleback Room at 200 Civic Center.
According to the American Red Cross, donating blood saves more than four million American lives each year. Blood is always needed for treatment for trauma victims; patients being treated for cancer, blood diseases and severe burns; and for surgery patients.
Participants can enter a “How would you spend it?” regional drawing for the chance to win a $1,500 gift card. Each donor will also receive two complimentary VIP tickets to the Laugh Factory.
To schedule an appointment, visit www.redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: COMV. Information is also available by calling 949-470-8476.
