As City Hall prepares for Labor Day, the public is encouraged to be aware of facility operating hours. City Hall will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5 and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 6. The City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
There will be no trash service on Monday, and trash and recycling services will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. Police, fire and other essential emergency City services will not be impacted by the closure, but the public should be aware of the following:
Mission Viejo Animal Services Center: The Animal Services Center will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day. Minimal staff will be available for emergencies only. The center will reopen at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
Mission Viejo Library: The library at 100 Civic Center will be closed in recognition of Labor Day on Sunday and Monday and will reopen at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Community Center: The Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center at 24932 Veterans Way will be open this weekend but closed on Monday. The center will open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
Recreation and Tennis Centers: Montanoso Recreation and Fitness Center at 25800 Montanoso Drive will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday.
Sierra Recreation and Fitness Center at 26887 Recodo Lane will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
Marguerite Tennis Center at 23840 Marguerite Parkway will be open from 6:30 a.m. to noon Monday.
Felipe Tennis Center at 27161 Nogal will be closed for the holiday on Monday.
