To commemorate Patriot Day and the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on our nation, the City will host a reverent Day of Remembrance with local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops and police and fire.
Mission Viejo’s Day of Remembrance takes place at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Mission Viejo Civic Center, 200 Civic Center.
During the brief ceremony led by local scout troops, flags will be raised and lowered to half-staff. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Orange County Fire Authority will give short presentations in honor of the day that forever changed the lives of all Americans.

We must never forget to honor those who lost their lives and First Responders on September 11, 200. I do not know anyone who died, but does not mean I simply move on. I am looking forward to OUR ceremony. Thank you City of Mission Viejo.
