Residents are invited to take part in a new fun-filled class that will have them moving and grooving to a fitness beat.
The Drums Alive Fitness class is at 4 p.m. Tuesday and Friday starting Aug. 16 at the Montanoso Recreation and Fitness Center, 25800 Montanoso Drive.
The class blends the dynamic movements of aerobic dance with the pulsating rhythms of the drum. The program encourages proper posture, body alignment, breathing patterns and synchronized movements in combination with cognitive thinking. Drums Alive fosters a healthy physical, mental and emotional balance while providing an element of fun, creative expression.
The class is free to Montanoso Recreation and Fitness Center passholders and costs $8 for non-passholders.
For more information, call 949-859-4348, ext. 5600.

Ear protection may be advised for those sensitive to LOUD noise. Do ya think?
You’re actually not banging on “drums”, it’s only the movement. Drumsticks hit the big rubber balls and the noise level would be the same as in any aerobic/dance class. Volume is up the instructor and attendees.
