Reservations are available for a special Aug. 19 program featuring award-winning, funny authors Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.
The popular authors will appear in Mission Viejo’s Writers’ Present program at 7 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
Hailed as two of the nation’s funniest authors, Barry and Pearson will charm audience members while introducing their latest release in the Peter and the Starcatchers Series, “The Bridge to Never Land.”
Barry was a syndicated humor columnist for 25 years whose work has appeared in 500 newspapers in the United States and abroad. He has also written more than 50 books.
Pearson is a number-one nationally bestselling author of more than 25 crime fiction novels that have been translated into 22 languages in 70 countries. Pearson’s crime/suspense novels are known for memorable characters, crisp plotting and detailed research, and strive to be good old page-turners.
This free, entertaining event, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library and a Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe, will feature a book signing for those who purchase books on site.
