Guests, who will review the first part of the series that aired last month, will also receive a pocket Constitution that includes the Declaration of Independence.
The PG-13 film, which airs at 2 p.m., is sponsored by the City’s Community of Character Committee. The movie coincides with July’s character trait of “fairness.”
Based on the book “John Adams” by David McCullough, Part 2 focuses on Founding Fathers Adams, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin as they lead the colonies to the Declaration of Independence and the American Revolution.
The winner of more Emmy awards than any other miniseries as well as four Golden Globe awards, the biopic stars Paul Giamatti as John Adams and Laura Linney as Abigail Adams.
Character educator Elaine Portnoy and history teacher Bob Hayes lead a brief discussion following the film, which will be shown on a theater-size screen with theater-style seating and surround-sound at 200 Civic Center, just across from the Mission Viejo Library. Adams will even make a special appearance.
