Mission Viejo is one of only two Orange County cities to be rated as a “best” water saver by the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter, which released its ratings on Monday.
The Sierra Club reviewed water conservation measures for incorporated cities in Orange and Los Angeles counties based on things such as efficient landscape irrigation and restricted use measures, along with residential and commercial water efficiency measures and municipal best practices.
Mission Viejo was one of five cities – including La Palma – to receive the “best” rating. Other cities received a “good” or “poor” rating with a few coming in with a “worst” rating.
With water conservation, recycling, public education and outreach and other innovative programs and services, the City has long been a leader on the environmental front.

Would be far more interesting had there been a link to where you found the ratings rather than a very ambiguous “Mission Viejo was one of five cities – including La Palma – to receive the “best” rating. Other cities received a “good” or “poor” rating with a few coming in with a “worst” rating”.
Nevertheless, congrats MV on being conservation friendly.
