More than 50 Marine wives were showered with baby items and gifts during a special baby shower the City’s Marine Adoption Committee held on June 4.
The committee, which supports the City’s adopted Headquarters Battalion, First Marine Division with programs throughout the year, made baby baskets for 51 expectant mothers or those who recently gave birth.
The baskets were bundled up with love and appreciation by way of community donations of gently used baby items, clothing and furniture.
Everyone had a good time and the moms and moms-to-be enjoyed and savored the community’s generosity and committee’s hospitality.
