With summer on its way, registration is available for a host of summer programs that cater to local youth.
The Mission Viejo-based Saddleback Valley YMCA at 27341 Trabuco Circle is hosting Summer Arena Soccer from June 4 through July 30. Registration is also available for Summer T-ball, which runs from July 9 to Aug. 27, and the Kids Explorer Sports and Play Summer program that takes place from June 27 to Aug. 29.
The YMCA programs, which cater to kids ages 3-7, offer local youth the opportunity to explore their interests and abilities in a safe and supportive environment.

Children and teens interested in a summer running camp should register for the Saddleback Running Club, a local distance running club for kids in grades 3-8. Camps will be offered from June 27-30 and Aug. 1-4. Campers will learn proper technique for running, endurance training, distance running and racing.
For teens, the club will also host an “XC” summer running camp July 5-15 for boys and girls starting high school. The camp, which will feature and cover all aspects of XC running, will help to build endurance, proper mechanics and technique.
