The public is invited to take part in the OC RAWK Fest at the Kaleidoscope entertainment center on May 21.
“RAW: natural born artists” will produce and host the eclectic and multi-genre artistic showcase from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the center on Crown Valley Parkway.
RAW is an independent arts organization that presents monthly grassroots showcases that display talented emerging artists in visual art, music, performing art, fashion design, film, modeling, and hair and make-up artistry.
The free daytime festival will boast artwork displays by visual artists and musical performances by local musicians. The event will also feature six fashion shows spotlighting everything from T-shirts and vintage swimwear by Orange County-based Rey Swimwear to high fashion geometrics by local designer Virginia Ying. The showcase will also include live paintings, dance performances and roaming spectacles.
The Derby, a deli and dueling piano bar in the center, will serve up food and drink specials during the fest.
