Hundreds of toddlers and their parents took to the field on Sunday to learn about soccer and have fun with Olympian Julie Foudy in a free soccer program at the World Cup/Potocki Center.
The open house gave folks a preview of Foudy’s “Kick Start” Soccer Program for kids ages 2-6 that is designed to kick start a child’s early soccer experience with a highly creative, energetic and fun curriculum, created by Foudy and her staff.
Foudy is a silver and two-time Olympic gold medalist in soccer. The Hall of Famer graduated from Mission Viejo High School in 1989 and was proclaimed the City’s “Home Town Hero” seven years later.
Sunday’s open house attracted tons of kids – including a set of triplets – who packed three sessions that day and signed up for Foudy’s classes that take place on different days of the week.
