The public is invited to a catered reception and big-band concert on Friday, April 29 to kick off the weekend’s Arts Alive Festival.
The City of Mission Viejo’s Cultural Arts Committee is sponsoring this gala event, which will be held at 6 p.m. on the Orchard Terrace at the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way. The reception will be catered by local popular chef Louis Lepe. An hour later, guests will savor the sounds of the Warren Priske Big Band in the center’s Sycamore Room. The band, which belts out classics from the 40s and 50s, is known nationwide for its warm sound and vintage vocal style and ability to bring the perfect mix of fun, energy and elegance to any event.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance by calling 949-470-8488 or online at http://eConnect.cityofmissionviejo.org by referencing course #2358.
