Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) and the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center have launched an adoption promotion for four special dogs who’ve been at the shelter for more than 50 days.

Between Friday, March 4 and Sunday, March 21, DAWG will pay half of the $100 adoption fee for each dog.

“All four are wonderful dogs, and we don’t know why they have been overlooked but each is very deserving of his and her forever home,” said Gail DeYoung, animal services manager.

Meet the dogs:

Minnie:  A 2-year-old black-and-white female Pit Bull Terrier who is incredibly sweet, eager to please and seems to like other large dogs.

Lucky Girl: A 2-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier who came to the center skinny and scarred but is on the mend and loves everyone she meets.

Calvin: A 1-year-old male Labrador Retriever mix who loves to play.

Caliente:  A 2-year-old male Min Pin/ Chihuahua mix who is a little love but also has a feisty side.
