The public is invited to a special performance by a man who country star Chet Atkins calls “one of the greatest finger pickers in the world today.”
Lord of the Strings presents Pat Donohue is at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Mission Viejo Civic Center, 200 Civic Center.
From swing to jazz to bottleneck blues to folk, Donohue plays it all with a flourish of artistry and melodic inspiration. His original tunes have been recorded by Chet Atkins, Suzy Bogguss and Kenny Rogers.
This Grammy-winning acoustic guitarist is said to be one of the most listened to finger pickers in the world. As the guitarist for the Guys All-Star Shoe Band of Minnesota Public Radio’s “A Prairie Home Companion.” Donohue gets to show off his savvy licks and distinctive original songs to millions of listeners each week.
