A Mission Viejo condominium that was recently purchased and renovated by Habitat for Humanity of Orange County is now available for sale for buyers who meet certain requirements.
The 943-square-foot condo, located at 22908 Via Nuez, #44, has 2 bedrooms and 1 1/4 bathrooms on the upper level with an attached one-car garage. The condo has new kitchen countertops, appliances and carpet. The kitchen and bathroom have new ceramic tile and the home has a fresh coat of paint.
The affordable home is offered at $174,000 and is available to “income-restricted” buyers. That means the gross income of the potential buyer must fall within 80 percent of the median income for Orange County, as defined by HUD guidelines. For example, for a household of three, the income range for the household would fall between $50,000 and $66,900.
Habitat for Humanity of Orange County purchased the home using federal stimulus funds. The non-profit organization is collaborating with Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) to purchase, renovate and sell foreclosed homes in communities throughout Orange County. The Mission Viejo home met the funding criteria and was the second of 11 homes that Habitat for Humanity of Orange County plans to purchase and renovate.
The home is offered for purchase by any family meeting the requirements – civilian or military.
