Anthony Horowitz, the award-winning author of the Alex Rider Adventures will travel to Mission Viejo from England on March 22 to discuss “Scorpio Rising” – the last book in his series.
The 7:00 p.m. presentation, which is expected to draw hundreds, takes place in the Mission Viejo City Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.
Fans of the popular author are eagerly awaiting the 9th and final book in the fast-paced Alex Rider Adventures, which were inspired by the author’s love of the James Bond movies. The books have a big following – particularly with male youngsters ages 9 to 18.
Horowitz is one of England’s most successful television screenwriters and his works include the BBCs Foyle’s War Series and the Midsomer Murders. Two movies – “Stormbreaker” and “The Gathering” - have been based on his writings. Horowitz has also been chosen by the Conan Doyle estate to write a new full-length Sherlock Holmes novel, which will be published this September.
Horowitz’ fun-filled presentation will be followed by a book signing. Books purchased at the event will be available for signing.
This program is sponsored by A Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe and the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library.
